The original intent of the Catrina image

has evolved to become the face

that represents the Day of the Dead,

an ancient holiday tha celebrates life

and death. A day to remember

our loved ones that have passed on.

The Catrina series began with a

commissioned piece for the

event in San Diego.

I continue to created a new piece every year

because I enjoy the freedom that

creating these images allows.

Art has many faces, I reach out to the poetic, imaginative side of our nature.

My traditional work has more

texture and depth. This work is

created through layering of color.

The use of strong lines along

with graphic composition

creates a sense of motion

and dimension.

A Spirit Guide, through a pshycic reading, once told me;

"Through your art you will raise the spiritual conciousness of mankind." I have pondered that often, and after much consideration, have decided to just create what I feel and see where my art leads me.
